Oh, lol, there is only a 5 mile difference in each direction between lax-nrt-sin and lax-sin.

According to the SQ website, book by Jan 22 for these fares. Availability is wide open through November.

I'm doing one of these as a vacation (racking up some Alaska miles didn't hurt in the decision either)

SFO-HKG//HKG-SIN-SFO can be had for 944 on some dates. Essentially same amount of miles as SFO-SIN-SFO for 1044.

Did Alaska finally start giving credit for R class, or does this book into S/T?

I'm trying to optimize LAX/SFO-DPS for miles (on UA MP) and to have at least 1 long enough stopover to explore the city/cities. Dates are not fixed.
Is this the best I can do with 16h in SIN: https://flights.app.goo.gl/q48S ? Any way to get a HKG stopover in there also? Thanks

There is a SFO-HKG rt fare that allows free stopovers in SIN.

So you can fly SFO-SIN-HKG-SIN-SFO and stay as long as you want in any of the intermediate cities. That's over 20k miles. Eg for $981: https://flights.app.goo.gl/QWCjt.

You can also drop one off the SIN stops and do a direct SFO-HKG or HKG-SFO flight if you just want to visit each city once. Fewer miles, of course.

These fares expire on Jan 22 so don't wait too long to pull the trigger!!

ALSO SQ includes a free holiday package with your SIN stopover. It's $45/nt and includes a hotel, meals, and nearly 20 attractions.

Free is $45/night? Inflation....

What's the quality of the hotel and the food?

LOL. Ok, how about for a "nominal fee"? You can read more here: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/u...pover-holiday/ and about the attractions/food here: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/u...ee-attraction/

I asked this question on the SQ forum, but got no response. Maybe it's more relevant to this thread

You can fly non-stop SFO-SIN; it's on the Airbus (359).

You can also fly with a short stop in HKG (same flight number and equipment; presumably same plane and no need to deplane) on the 77W.

Non-stop is probably preferable here (otherwise I'm flying SFO-HKG-SIN-HKG-SIN-HKG-SFO) but some have said that the premium economy seats in the 77W are significantly better (wider, more legroom, more recline).

Is the product so much better that it's worth the ridiculous routing? I only really want one stop in SIN so I might be looking at HKG-SIN-HKG-SFO in one day to get home.

This ticket price appears to be a Premium Economy Lite fare. The SQ website states the transpacific segment is cannot be upgraded using mile. Does anyone know if this is case?
