UA : East coast-Canada -> HNL from $1280 CAD in BF return

Spotted on Google flights:
https://www.google.com/flights?lite=...6*2.CAD.135996

Itinerary on UA has you connect either in SFO or IAD. The outbound is long haul on 767 featuring lie flat bed whereas the return are all 737 in F. Should be a decent milage run and is roughly 2x the discount Y fare you would normally find out of YYZ which makes it a deal in my book. Availability pretty good for 2019 albeit the options with 1 stops are more limited in their availability.

More deals to HNL ex-Canada.

From our nation's capital at $1,350 CAD:
https://www.google.com/flights?lite=...0*2.CAD.134970

What's interesting about this itinerary (from the other prior fare ex-YYZ) is that it's possible to get lie flat goodness for all US legs of the flight (i.e. ORD->SFO, SFO<->HNL, SFO<->IAD). Very scattered availability in '19. As a bonus, your return has you take the coveted IAD->YOW in F - I wonder if there'll be interesting folks on that flight!

From the frozen desert that is YWG at $1,284 CAD:

https://www.google.com/flights?lite=...6*2.CAD.128396

Enfin, de peur que je ne sois accusé de faovurisme - quelques bons tarifs en dehors de la ville de Montréal:
https://www.google.com/flights?lite=...0*2.CAD.136420

Bon voyage,

James

Ona strictly CPM basis? No! But the point of premium MRs isn't to strictly optimize CPM. If that were the case 99% of the deals listed wouldn't meet that criteria as someone could say just fly y for a fraction of the cost.

There are other factors to consider like the quality of the seat (recliner, angled flat or lie flat), quality of the onboard meals (do they serve Dom or Krug), and let's not forget line access (eg Polaris lounge). In the carc of YOW I'd argue it is a good deal since you'll earn a stack of miles (15,000 with UA), have lie flat seats and a full compliment meal service along the way. Nothing like starting your trip to Paradise with a fare roughly double the cost of Y as God had intended

That fare would be an excellent bargain for a Premium PLT status match challenge @:-)

Not really a MR

No, its not really a MR. Works out around 6 cpm. For me, its a way to experience the new Polaris lounge in LAX & the Arrivals Lounge in SFO. Also, the TK lounge in IAD.
NB When searching for this fare, I saw AC Rouge on offer. What a joke!

This fare won't give you Polaris anything (lounge included). For that you have to be travelling between continents in J. As for United Club and other lounge access you'll need to check with the lounges in question. Some like the MLL will grant access with your J ticket whereas others like the UC may not. If you're *Gold then ya you'll have lounge access but you'd get that anyways flying Y.

What you are getting out of this is over a dozen hours of lie flat goodness, meals on board, a stack of miles when crediting to UA and the occasional lounge on the way. Last and certainly not least the pleasure of seeing all those UA 1K and Global Services fail to secure their upgrade to J whilst you sneak in with your P fare

BTW you aren't missing out much on the UC lounges - when I was at HNL they had edemame as their food on offer... Lol!

Status challenges only account for BIS miles. Class of Service bonuses don't count towards status challenges.

8. Valid on flights operated by United and United Express. Not valid on United-marketed codeshare flights operated by other carriers. ... Class-of-service bonus Premier qualifying miles (PQM) and Premier qualifying segments (PQS) will count toward this offer; however, other bonus PQM/PQS, promotional PQM/PQS, and/or credit card PQM do not count toward this offer.
Maybe you were thinking of the "other bonus PQM/PQS" clause?
