Itinerary on UA has you connect either in SFO or IAD. The outbound is long haul on 767 featuring lie flat bed whereas the return are all 737 in F. Should be a decent milage run and is roughly 2x the discount Y fare you would normally find out of YYZ which makes it a deal in my book. Availability pretty good for 2019 albeit the options with 1 stops are more limited in their availability.

Looks like now about $1.7-$1.8K. YOW-HNL is still available at $1.3K but no lie-flats.

Can I combine with this fare the Air Canada 787 to SFO or LAX and then United 777 to HNL if the P fare bucket is available on both sectors?

I don't think so, I've never seen the AC 787 included. I don't think UA/AC codeshare on that route or UA doesn't allow AC metal on this fare... but love the fare! I prefer to connect in IAD, just flew it recently and this year they're using a Polaris-configured 767-300 vs the 767-400. I found the seats even more comfortable - while the UA soft product leaves a lot to be desired in my books, the seats are quite excellent and while they don't "look" as nice as the AC 787 seats they are more comfortable to sleep in IMHO!

Yes the lowest now LNM7A9FN for 1639.64, but I believe the cheaper fare will be back soon.

I find the UA seats super comfortable even in the fully upright position. IAD and EWR both offer the 767-300 and it's been like that for a couple of years.

When it was the 767-400, I always used to buy economy and upgrade with RPUs, but with the smaller biz class cabin on the 767-300, my upgrade success rate dropped, so I just started paying for J.

Just got a RT from YYZ to OGG. $1072 USD with 777-200 lie-flats from DEN to OGG!

Thanks OP.

What are the dates? I see lots of fares for this price by via SFO or LAX in regular seats.

UA : YYZ - HNL US$1,078 RT First

- more great fares from YYZ - there is an Air Canada 787 to SFO but can't get this price (yet) for 100% lie-flat

and you won't get AC metal. Fare rules published by UA require UA metal.

ditto the comment--been around for a long time have flown it 5-6 times in as many years. sometimes on an immediate turn just for miles.

Agree, used to be able to connect in EWR or IAD for lie-flats but I haven't seen that in a while. 20k PQM for $1k when the old P fare bucket gave you 2x PQMs, those were the days!

I book tight connection with many stops and wait for a sked change and then move to EWR/IAD for lay flats.

Even as recent as last year, you could fly AC widebody 787 out of YYZ and connect onto many UA TPAC routes, all for a nicely discounted P fare, plated on 016 (UA) tickets. I have done multiple of those, as well as flights back and forth between YYZ and SFO on widebodies solely operated by AC - much cheaper when purchased through UA as codeshares than directly with AC. Of course, UA killed that strategy as soon it re-introduced its own flights between YYZ and SFO.
