[PREM FARE GONE] JAL: RGN-SAN/LAX/SFO/DFW/ORD/etc from $2k USD Biz (Going Fast)

X fare, earns up to 225% on AS: https://www.wheretocredit.com/japan-airlines/x

Google shows quite a few cities but looks like they're cached and disappearing quickly
https://www.google.com/flights/#flt=...-766806250;t:e

Can still seem to book from non-US OTAs:

Nice find. Here's an option for an early 2019 kickoff trip using PG for the RGN-BKK segment and MH on the return, and cheaper as well. https://www.google.com/flights/#flt=...5*2.USD.197865

Got a mini heart attack when I saw “RGN” and “going fast” :D

Thanks for posting ^

I’m not aure about the drama of “going fast” this fare has been around for two weeks. Try something better than Google flights, thats not even close to a GDS of record ;-)

BTW, nice stopover allowance and can be routed thru either BKK or KUL w three stopovers in each direction and no HIP check.

IMO this is a much better find than the AA HKG-MEX fare as it has much more flexibility.

I can't seem to get it to do an open jaw in the US or add another stopver

eg. RGN-BKK-NRT-JFK//BOS-NRT-BKK-RGN

or RGN-BKK-NRT-JFK-LAX-NRT-BKK_RGN.

However the fare rules seem to be ok? am I missing something??

Category 8: Stopover restrictions
3 STOPOVERS PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION AT USD 100.00 EACH 1 IN MALAYSIA/THAILAND 1 IN JAPAN 1 IN THE UNITED STATES/CANADA. CHILD/INFANT DISCOUNTS APPLY.
Category 9: Transfer restrictions
3 TRANSFERS PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION FREE 1 FREE IN BKK/KUL IN EACH DIRECTION 1 FREE IN JAPAN IN EACH DIRECTION 1 FREE IN CANADA/THE UNITED STATES IN EACH DIRECTION FARE BREAK AND EMBEDDED SURFACE SECTORS NOT PERMITTED ON THE FARE COMPONENT.

How about this for 2 200 USD?

THANKS! not sure why I couldn't get this on Matrix.

Also you think stretching the "Stopover" in the US and incorp a JFK-LAX will be a no go?

I could get the LAX-JFK but was showing in Y, I did not played with booking classes there, so maybe its possible, but I do not know.

here is the routing table for RGN-YVR. Indeed, some interesting opportunities.

/VIA THE PACIFIC/
DOM ROUTE VALIDATION APPLIES WITHIN ORIG/DEST COUNTRIES
MAP CONSTRUCTED LEFT TO RIGHT AND RIGHT TO LEFT
1. RGN-JL/MH-KUL-JL-OSA/TYO-JL-BOS/CHI/DFW/HNL/KOA/LAX/NYC/SAN/SEA/SFO/YVR-AA/JL-YVR
2. RGN-JL/MH-KUL-JL-OSA/TYO-JL-YVR
3. RGN-JL/PG/UB-BKK-JL-NGO/OSA/TYO-JL-BOS/CHI/DFW/HNL/KOA/LAX/NYC/SAN/SEA/SFO/YVR-AA/JL-YVR
4. RGN-JL/PG/UB-BKK-JL-NGO/OSA/TYO-JL-YVR
If you have miles to get over to position for this, it is a decent fare to start annual Asia vacations. I can get family of 5 for average of $1736 per RT ticket, taking advantage of the new NRT-SEA-NRT JL service. Stopovers are additional gravy on an already stellar fare.

Thanks. However, for the first flight in outbound, since Bangkok Air checks you in, does this mean you have check-in luggage allowance for econ?

I am pretty sure that it will be C baggage allowance.

honzeek_cz Dec 24, 2018 6:26 pm

You can do OJ and route through LAX for example:

It’s about finding X bucket space. Either use ITA to hunt and peck or use EF to look specifically at the X bucket on the days you would like to travel. Thr fare rules are thr fare rules, they allow a stopover in Tokyo and I found it fairly straightforward to price them.
