It really depends. For the ex-CMB fares with this clause, people said the same thing. But after showing up at Carson travel and working with the same agent a few times, there was a group of FTers who were able to just wire her cash when we wanted another ticket issued. Myanmar seems like the same sort of place where someone could work this out with a local TA who appreciated the commissions. But i still recall the Canada TAs being able to issue those SITI fares at some point, just cannot find the threads explaining it.

Indeed. I've already located at least one IATA accredited TA in Yangon that even has an online flight booking tool (no, it can't price this kind of complex stuff) and it accepts Visa/MC, but I'd first actually visit the TA to establish a trust relationship and agree how one can book remotely by e-mail or phone. I won't be in Yangon for quite a few months, but if this fare is still around then, I'll pop in at the TA and establish a local contact there.

I've flown one of these routing via KUL ticketed on AA. Attempting to book another and it prices in ITA but I can't ticket it anywhere (AA isn't an option with the PG segment). Anyone had luck booking one of these recently?

still shows up google flights and ita fare matrix but link to jal errors out?

I'm seeing MDL-NRT-TYO-NYC-HND-MDL for 1875€, the short hauls in economy in Matrix, but priceline or anything else doesn't seem to be able to price it..

We have JAL. MDL is in Burma (myanmar).

Ex-MDL is IMO quite useless for attaining status credits, because there's no OW options for Mandalay. In fact you'll only earn award credits with PG to the FFPs of JL and CX. Well, of course you get to try their C product at least.

Exclamation feb 28 ticketed from Mandalay

Had ticketed on Priceline from RGN with MH through KUL but boycotting MH after they cancelled Emirates mistake fare after one week with no notice and would not refund connecting flights from HAN to KUL on CX mistake fare then KUL-BKK-MDL home. Most days available on ITA and Google Flights then link errors out. I am in Mandalay and agents here could not find. Finally booked through Yangon agency but they could not accept CC over the phone. At SunFar agency in Mandalay had to show printout finally got ticketed for 2 weeks over T'giving. If anyone can book online let me know. Fares from RGN or MDL to any USA JAL destination, beware not AA metal and may need HND-NRT ground xfer.

The fare is not possible to book online in reality, but a Burmese IATA accredited TA should be able to as they have GDS access. Not exactly easy to book any more, taken that one also has to pay the booking somehow.
