[DL] Delta One Transcon LAX-JFK-SJU o/w $348+
I'm pretty sure I've read about cheap J fares from LAX to SJU across all major carriers in this forum, but this one really amazed me... given how high LAX-JFK fares usually are.
One way from LAX-SJU, can route through JFK to get lie flat
As low as $348, scattered dates. Example:
Jan 29
Mar 12 26
Apr 2 8 9 23 26 29
Books in Z. I don't know if it would be nice to drop JFK-SJU segment as nowadays airlines are pretty strict on short-checks, but definitely can benefit those who does MR.

Quick search and it does look like the DL fare permits LAX - JFK routing which means 763, 764, or 752 with lie-flats. Nice fare OP -- I would use it if based on the west coast.

Not so great for Flying Blue unfortunately, because you only get 6XPs per domestic segment. Would be worth doing just for the experience and trip, though!

Sorry, I had AA on the brain ;-)
I often see DL with similar clauses in their cheap fares. For ex-SEA Y-up fares they routinely specify the fares are not valid for any of the SEA-JFK-SEA lie flats.
Sometimes the fare rules specify certain aircraft that cannot be used, other times they specify routings where there will almost certainly not be a lie flat. AA/DL also do this on YVR-BDA, YVR-SJU and other similar bargain basement fares that could allow a cheap lie flat transcon to be had.

Delta brands its lie-flat equipments as Delta One and sells them under different fare classes (the biz fare class J C D I Z) and are significantly more expensive than those domestic FC ones (which they still use F A etc.) So I guess it isn't that hard for them to restrict these fares.

I was just thinking how the transcontinental will only yield 6XPs, which seems poor. So how much would JFK-SJU give then? I'm definitely interested in this!
