AM: MCO/MIA to CUN from $556 and JFK/LAS/LAX from $720 (1664-2505 MQDs)

Spring Break in Style? Aeromexico has some nice sales from across the US to Cancun... These credit to Delta as MQDs at 40% of flown distance. Great for passengers needing to top up their accounts! Prices are for flights in March 2019 but should be available across the schedule...

Cheapest flights are from Orlando and Miami. All MQMs / RDMs / MQDs are based on a non-status flyer...

Orlando - $556 - 6242 MQMs - 8320 RDMs - 1664 MQDs - 2.95 Ratio!
Miami - $585 - 6224 MQMs - 8296 RDMs - 1660 MQDs - 2.83 Ratio!
New York - $719 - 8668 MQMs - 11556 RDMs - 2311 MQDs - 3.2 Ratio!
Las Vegas - $734 - 6920 MQMs - 9224 RDMs - 1845 MQDs - 2.51 Ratio!
Dallas - $765 - 5204 MQMs - 6936 RDMs - 1387 MQDs - 1.81 Ratio!
Seattle - $866 - 9394 MQMs - 12524 RDMs - 2505 MQDs - 2.89 Ratio!

Orlando - $556 - 6242 MQMs - 8320 RDMs - 1664 MQDs - 2.95 Ratio! (Non-stop flights are $530 but not MR territory since it's a 2 hour flight MCO-CUN)

Miami - $585 - 6224 MQMs - 8296 RDMs - 1660 MQDs - 2.83 Ratio!

New York - $719 - 8668 MQMs - 11556 RDMs - 3328 MQDs - 3.2 Ratio!

Seattle - $866 - 9394 MQMs - 12524 RDMs - 2505 MQDs - 2.89 Ratio!

Las Vegas - $734 - 6920 MQMs - 9224 RDMs - 1845 MQDs - 2.51 Ratio!

Dallas - $765 - 5204 MQMs - 6936 RDMs - 1387 MQDs - 1.81 Ratio!

I think the idea is not to see how fast you can get there but to highlight the point making opportunity you have flying with this carrier on this particular route.

For real - MCO-CUN on Jetblue should take about an hour and a half and be decently comfortable on their E190 even if it isn't a premium seat.

Outside of the USA, a lot of those mileage calculations don't mean much. It tends to be simple with many other airlines, such as tier points earned per segment (dependent on class/length) and miles earned .So I also don't know what each abbreviation means, but I'm hardly a novice flyer... Or ftalker.

Cheers randolph

Does JetBlue get you over $3,000 MQD on Delta? Didn't think so. This post is helpful to a lot of people chasing Delta status, if thats not you, no problem. Move on

I think it's interesting to know these things. I'm always on the look out to leave BA, JAL, and QR. I'm happy to keep AS.

This post was really focused on Delta flyers... Since Aeromexico falls into a lovely sweet spot for status chasers..
MQM is Delta speak for EQM or PQM basically the amount of miles needed for status...
RDMs are the same across alliances... How many miles you earn that can be used for rewards, etc...
MQDs are the spend requiermere for US customers in the case of Delta. This is called EQDs or PQDs on American and United. Unlike Delta, all program participants need to obtain a certain spend level in addition to Flown Miles.
Aeromexico gives you 40% of Distance for I class Business fares as MQDs... So it's a great way to hack your travel status at a lower out of pocket cost
