Really dont think this should be classified as a premium deal considering QR have had sale prices to these destinations for less than 1500EUR where I have personally flown from Scandinavia to AKL for EUR1300

Indeed.. prices seems to be very 'ouch'.......sadly I think the days of sub 1800 Euro prices are gone....have not seen any decent deals from Qatar the past half year from this region...am hoping for some miracle fare to pop up....

Sure there were much better prices out of Scandinavia in the past.
Last week those flights cost between 3-4k.
So If anyone needs to fly to Sydney as example out of Oslo, Qatar Airways is at the moment the cheapest option, and one of the best airlines.
Let's see if black friday brings something under 2k...

Qatar can't really offer these any more with no end in sight to the blockade and high oil prices.

Its nothing compared to the halcyon days of 2017 when they floated around €1500 and some were less but in the grand scheme of things getting to the other side of the world for 2.3k in one of the better J class airlines out there is still a bit of a bargain. Even with two economy positioning flights you are still half the price of most average fares.

It was only earlier in the year I went to Canberra for 1150 and earned a load of air miles and other bonuses for it.
The air China thing doesn't look too bad, but of course it isn't a first tier airline, like much of star alliance.
