i took the A350 Delta Suites last week, back from Beijing. I liked them, but I think i like the A330 better. Felt a bit like a cage to me. Very boxy. Like a lil prison cell.

It might be possible to have an overnight connection (under 24 hours) in each direction on this fare, presumably at MSP, in order to get better arrival and departure times for Canada. If you're willing, MSP has some good airport hotels (with at worst free shuttle service) or you could use the light rail to go downtown. With the exception of the new IC at the airport and the JW right at Mall of America, these airport hotels tend to be cheap, frequently under US$100, especially if you can qualify for AAA or senior rates. Around the holidays, downtown hotels can be cheap too as there won't be business travelers filling them.

This is also available with just a short stop in MSP, for example 19-23 November, if you don't need the Delta One suites: https://goo.gl/flights/M7vpK

I just checked for the travel period:

PERMITTED 13NOV THROUGH 30NOV OR 15DEC THROUGH 31DEC ON
THE OUTBOUND TRANSPACIFIC SECTOR.

Couldn't find AC for 3750 CAD

The cheapest fare from now until September with AC was 5433CAD.... ?

You’re right! The deal has been going on for months but it’s gone now. Expect it to come back...

Any date should be suites, as they seem to already be flying the refurbished 777s from MSP-HND

Do you happen to know how this works out in MQMs toward status? At 2X in First Class from Toronto to Tokyo it has to be a pretty good haul.
