BA AMS-CPT £1,269 in business 440TP
Not sure if this has already been posted somewhere.
Just booked seats through OTA for January 2019 AMS-LHR-JNB-CPT rtn for £1,269 - books into I class, added booking to the app and it confirms it will earn 440TP.
There are a smattering of dates on ba.com as well at good fares 10 Jan 2019 back 23 Jan 2019 booked on ba.com in business AMS-LHR-CPT for £1,262.00 (although will earn fewer TPs)

You can get better than this - ba.com has it down to £1113 (€1275) return on some dates.
Fare is available until at least March, mainly on a Thursday outbound for some odd reason.
May be even cheaper if you find dates that price and then plug those into the BA Holidays website, adding a cheap car hire (which you never collect) on top.

Looks like most days have gone (or going as I'm looking for two). Some Mondays in March seem open and I noticed that some routings fly back CPT-LHR / LGW AMS thus avoiding the checked bag dilemma. So I'm hoping that Mrs S will be up for this one with the bonus of not having to do HBO.

Yes, seems availability is quite limited.... trying for mid february.. but prices are much higher than the lowest of ~1250Euros. Wonder if it is because they are still opening up the inventory or....even trying with BA holidays, prices are not moving down for this one....
Cheers!

A piece of advice from recent experience: Leave ample time for the Domestic to International connection in JNB on the way back. Security + Passport Control add up to a double whammy of queues.
