F fares are not bad at all. 1999 EUR to BKK for example

Right. Except there is no availability for a roundtrip at this price, as far as I can see

Usual LH F sale style..

LX is also in the mix. And, as usual, is a bit more honest with availability.

Anyone wants to share MXP-->GRU 14.04 - 20.04 in F feel free to PM me.

J availability is very good on LH (at least for destinations I’ve checked) while is almost never available on LX but for scattered daya

It’s a joke. That said, if you have status you can try waitlisting A Class. Book with a TA and have them call LH. Worked for me last First Class partner sale out of LHR, confirmed in less than 24 hours.

LH will not have installed new J seats by the end 2019, correct? I am hesitant to fly 2-2-2 cabin in J.

It's OK in the middle pair as you have aisle access with no-one climbing over you, although the person next to you will be stroking your feet with his feet if you're as lucky as I was the other week. Your head is miles away from your neighbours head though.

Looks like a similar fare to this recent one:

2 PAX - LX OJ: VCE-J-ZRH-A-BKK, SIN-P-ZRH-P-VCE - 1535€ pP

Would be nice if we could replicate some of the options in that thread again.

I was able to find Mil-Bkk (outbound in J and inbound in F) for needed dates but now it seems the search doesn't work anymore.
Can you confirm you are still getting results?

If I want to fly with my kids (< 5y) can I buy adult tickets for them? Is it allowed?

Thanks

I clicked through whole January and February for MXP-BKK and the only F availability I can find is the return on 21st February.

Anybody find any other dates for LH F flights to cities like Bangkok or Singapore?

Toddler as UM in Y - Parents companion in J

Hi all,

Wondering whether anyone has had any experience with the following scenario (moderator: please move if this is not the right forum):

Book companion fare for parents in J or F
Book child/toddler (2yrs, 2months) as UM and assigned seat in Y, but then take child to J (on existing seats of the parents)?

Would be great to hear from more experienced parents
Thanks

Some airlines charge for toddlers depending on the cabin and/or the ticket price. LX calculates depending on the ticket price of the parents.

What you are trying is just booking Y for your child and then taking him into J/F, hence saving a few hundred bucks. Don't do that.
Why would you do that? If you can afford a F class companion fare you can definetly afford the Infant charge.
Somebody recently did it on SIA and the FA rightously denied them to sit in J unless they paid the charge.

You can just book the child into the F partner award anyway... Those 100-200 EUR won't kill you...

I guess it's allowed (at least I did it once without any problems). The only thing is that your +0.5 won't get the kids meal.

Has anyone had any luck booking open-jaw (MXP-SIN/HKG-MXP is the example I’m looking at)? As far as I can see you only see the companion fares through the special landing page - a general search doesn’t locate them even on dates where there is definitely availability. And the landing page only allows return bookings. Not completely certain I’ve understood the fare rules correctly, but from what I can generate on Matrix the fare isn’t restricted to simple return only.

Related to this, the LX promotion seems to be 2+ passengers but LH is 2 only. Is there a known way of booking 4pax on a single booking reference with LH, or is that not permitted? (Or for that matter odd numbers >2...?)
