Ba/ay: Arn-mia j £1150 ($1499) 400tp

Just spotted an ARN-LHR-PHL-MIA / MIA-LHR-ARN route for £1150/$1499 on BA.

Other routings seem to be ARN-HEL-JFK-MIA (scoring lie-flat 777 on final sector) / MIA-HEL-ARN on AY for an extra tenner or so.

400TP, so not huge, but not bad either. Can probably be tweaked to maximise routing.

Seems around $250 better than similar LUX/GVA routings of recent times (plus more TP).

I had a quick play with the AA website and got it up to 480TP for £1140. You lose out a tiny bit on Avios flying with Finnair but the extra TP should help comfort you!

Might want to check if you can score the morning flight (AY1331, AY1332) as they use A350 for it.

Can the combined wisdom here remind me how I can complete the booking on aa.com without it kicking me out when I change my country of residence to UK . I have done this before but I’m blowed if I can remember how - I.e putting booking on hold, getting a PNR then ringing aa to pay

Trying to book a GOT/LHR/HEL/LHR/JFK/MIA return.

Thanks lots

Just chuck in a US post code - 10010 or something - and it should still work. I've done this before with internal US flights, and I live in the UK with a UK (not US) bank account. Basically: don't appease it by saying "I'm in the UK" as it'll re-price, I've found.

That worked. Still had to pay in USD.

Thanks for flagging again - no need for the enhanced TP journey, but used the fare to get ARN-LHR-MIA-LHR-ARN for early next year - so thanks for the great deal!

Yes.

Flight 1: GOT to HEL (routing code: LHR)
Flight 2: HEL to MIA (routing code: LHR NYC)
Flight 3: MIA to HEL (routing code: NYC LHR)
Flight 4: HEL to GOT (routing code: LHR)

at this point the only dates this works for are between 22nd Dec - 1st Jan, or between 15th April - 26th April. Needs a Saturday night stay, or 6 day minimum trip. Should price out at 15,000 Kr (ish).

I’m very tempted to book GOT-LHR-HEL-LHR-JFK-MIA and return tomorrow. Dates would be last weekend in December. Almost bit the bullet today but decided to hold off for my performance and bonus review at work tomorrow!
