TAAG : Johannesburg to Sao Paulo $1,002 RT Business

- seems to be the cheapest one yet (LATAM and SA both had it for around $1,400)
- 777 all the way - decent reviews for the product

Yeah. Couple months ago latam/sa offered it way cheaper. Latam seems to be offering good prices for late bookings in j on select routes

The 777s aren't that bad. Pretty standard Business class hard product. Meals are ok... crews generally very amiable...

Be sure to book on flights flying the 773 for the Trans Atlantic sectors. The 772 flies some days and is really inferior in J.

:-: Has anyone flown this route? I'd love to hear about recent experiences and updated advice.
It seems that the fares are similar or lower now than they were last year.

Imagine flying over one of the remotest and roughest oceans in the world on TAAG. Wow. Never in a million years. Just ask MH.

Probably not recommended. If first class is this bad, then what about business? https://onemileatatime.com/taag-777-first-class-review/

Given that the MH incident was almost certainly a rogue pilot deciding to take the plane down -- an incident which has happened on a number of airlines in a number of places -- slandering their entire operation as unsuitable for flying over oceans is pretty gross.

Wouldn't recommend it either after reading Ben's travel story back in 2018.

OT:
I love SEAN M's comment in this post: https://onemileatatime.com/taag-angola-call-center/
Look for Sean M in the comment section, great story telling skills and fun to read!
