AA Vacations RDU/MCO/LAS - PEK - $1915 R/T Business Class
Awesome AA Vacations fares from US to PEK. Dates are super limited September - December and Early February. Books into I* so earnings are 100% RDM, 2.0 EQM and 20% EQD. This is a good end of year mileage run opportunity. Must route on LAX/ORD-PEK
RDU seems to be the cheapest city at $1915 r/t LAS is pricing around $2050 MCO is at $2300 EYW is showing at $2500 but does not show I* fares just regular I fares, so you should probably avoid HOW TO FIND: Use Google Flights to find the cheapest dates then search those dates/routes in AAVacations. If you're planning on logging in to AAVacations, do so before you start searching. Their system times out and you have to redo your search for some reason if you log in at check out. It is possible to route on the JFK-LAX transcon Example https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f683a3022b.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...7e187b70e3.jpg |
This fare will incluide hotel ? I got a 2450 USD by the end of FEB staying for 9 days in a very cheap hotel...... there is not way i will stay there since i wanna continue to Guangzhou but still paying for the hotel and not using it is cheaper than just book the fly by it self (about 800 less)

Great find, i have found more dates for late Feb and March leaving from MCO, these are the dates that i need to fly, so hope this could help others.
|
Thanks for finding this. I went ahead and booked:
LAS-ORD-PEK (2 nights) PEK-ORD-LAX-LAS for $2085. I could have been a bit more creative with the routing but didn't need it to finish my EXP for next year. 33306 EQM $3,330 EQD 16653 Award Miles Interesting that this was about $200 less than ITA / Google Flights was showing. I also saw some +$400 flights that included LAX-JFK transcons -- no idea if AA Vacations could book that (by phone?), but didn't need it so didn't pursue. |
With advanced search, choose Hotel dates different than flight dates, You do not have to have a hotel room for the entire stay, choose any three nights to get the discounted rate.
|
Thanks for sharing this. I booked RDU-ORD-PEK on 9/27 and PEK-LAX-PHL-RDU on 10/1. Throwing away hotel stay - yikes - horrible reviews. Looking forward to the Quantas Lounge on the way back.
|
You can also just book for a minimum of 3 nights and not stay either

Thanks.
Noted this works from PSP and SAN as well |
Thank you for this.
I was so proud - I found -- PHX-DFW-PEK-DFW-PHX for $2,618 - vs DFW-PEK $5,800 ish -- Nested tkts - I realize I have to buy DFW-PHX-DFW - $629 F class - cheaper if I want to ride in back. Then I read this thread -- Uh, I may learn something. Let's see. Anyway - when I went to AAVacations -- depending on hotel, I found $2,400 ish -- even found a couple of Marriott choices for around $2,500- $2,600 - 3 day stay in PEK. One of the many reasons I like FT. Thank you. Thankyouverymuch. |
cam AA gift cards be used through AA vacations?

is it CONFIRMED these will earn 2x EQM? I might hop on one of these and have next year's EXECPLAT requal locked up already with bookings made before '19 starts haha.

Only if the fare listed has a * next to it. Otherwise you will earn at the normal chart |

Booked one of these a while ago and nested a pek-jnb rt in PE on CX. Full routing will be LAS-DFW-LAX-PEK in J, PEK-HKG in Y, HKG-JNB-HKG-PEK in PE, and PEK-LAX-LAS in J. Will fly this weekend up until Thanksgiving. Sad that no routing through HKG on AA, have a swu left and would have loved to try F for the first time.
EQMs: 52415 EQDs: 6089 EXP RDMS: 67665 Cost: 3556 (~1.7x EQD multiplier, not the best but was stuck with these dates and a huge gap to EXP) |

FWIW.. This deal (though not as good) works through PHX as well in the $2,500 range. Some longer routings (ex. PHX-ORD-DFW-PEK-DFW-LAX-PHX w/4 legs on 787-8/9) available. Dates available now through end of summer.
(Sorry this was already mentioned previously) |
Well, at least you get the 21k bonus miles now if you book thru the end of the year.
|
FARE GONE?
It looks like it is too late for 2018, December not working ex-MCO, RDU.

I just a quick update -- noonish on Monday
City => Pek and 3 nights hotel - (Minimum purchase on AAVacations ) LAS - PEK - $2206 MCO - PEK $2425 RDU - PEK $2548 PHX - PEK - $2510 I wonder if there are any other Asian destinations with cheap biz fares. I'm trying to get to CNX in Jan/Feb. Jan 23rd to Feb 12th -- bouncing around in between. Qatar has a flt $3,400 ish -- but AA will allow on 25% of EQD -- and I hate to lose 3/4 of dollars spent. Ideas? |

I realized I forgot the date.
Plan to leave Jan 23rd ish - return Feb 12th ish. My understanding - which apparently is wrongo, ignorant man - if I spend $2500 on AA I receive the $2500 toward my $6000 nut to crack for Plat. If I spend $2500 on partner airline then I would only receive $625 EQD -- dollars spent. 25% I thought the EQM's - would be the same for the length of the trip. To explain more. I'm going to visit two missionary friends over in Asia - One in Chiang Mai and the other in Phenom Penh . 1) DFW - LAS - Ticket 1 - outbound 2) LAS-DFW-PEK - Ticket 2 - Outbound 3) PEK - CNX -- Ticket 3 - One Way Train from CNX to BKK 4) BKK - PNH - Ticket 4 - One Way Visit Cambodia / Viet Nam 5) HAN - PEK -- Ticket 4 - One way 6) PEK - LAS -- Ticket 2 - Return 6) LAS - DFW -- Ticket 1 - Return DFW - LAS - $300 / LAS - PEK - $2200 / PEK - CNX - $500 / BKK - PNH - $350 / HAN - PEK $500 prem econ. - others are business class. Sorry, I didn't mean to take so long -- but working on details -- Thanks for reading. |
To clear up my misunderstand --
To use PEK - CNX - call it 1800 miles -- $500 on an Oneworld carrier - and this is a bad example since there is not OW carrier on this route - but if there was. The EQD would be 450 --- and not $125. Correct? |

Correct? If you are flying PE and the chart is special fare, 20% of miles means.... Let's say you fly a route that gcmap says is 1000 miles and cost you $367. Your EQD earnings will be 20% of the miles (1000) which is 200 EQDs. Your EQMs will be 1.5x miles flown (1000) for 1,500 EQMs. Note that the fare ($367) does not factor in to either calculation. |
Thank you.
Got it. Learned something new today. |

It is a combo trip. Part for me to explore that part of the world. Part to visit two friends of mine who are missionaries in the respective cities - Chiang Mai and Phnm Penh.
The fare are over - I bought mine on Priceline - and now ads pop up all the time for Qatar Airways - so I will keep an eye out for others. It will be interesting to see if the EQMs and EQDs post as I think they will. This is the first time for me to try something like this. FT is quite the help. |
I still see this out of LAS for $2400. Having never done AA Vacations, how would this credit, assuming no status? My parents would fly to PEK and take the minimum hotel stay (3 nights) then go on to Vietnam and return to PEK for another 3 night stay then back to LAS. Since the hotel stay won’t match the trip length, if I understand the rules, they would not be eligible for the 20k bonus. Is it possible to book through AA vacations and credit to AS? How would that work as well, assuming no status? I assume it’s better to credit to Alaska if possible. Thanks |
