Wiki updated. Was already in the UAE and got told I had to go see a client for a day in Jakarta. Think work were a little bemused why I wasn't p*ssed off.

It starts to remind me of the HEL-LHR runs...

I booked a couple of trips in May and I'm probably doing it again in September

I've entered some flights in the Wiki for next month. Considering another go in May.

For the March flights I have a question. It seems clear that a B2B on UL at CGK doesn't work, but I plan to continue with MH to KUL. Layover in CGK 2h 10min, but as MH allows for web check-in 48 h in advance, I'll check in and print BP already before leaving LHR [lounge printing, but without breakfast ] . Needless to say I'll go HBO.

Would anyone hesitate to perform this procedure?

Now that UL has moved to Terminal 3 (also used by MH), that should be an easier transit in CGK, especially if you already have your MH boarding pass.

Is there any recommendation for a Marriott chain hotel near the airport?

How long before departure time the AUH check-in desk opens? Two or three hours?

My e-ticket receipt says 3 hours (and that was also the case in DXB)

Great news for me! I have a couple of trips CGK-DXB-CGK with UL (purchased when they still had the 1000 usd deal for this sector). I use MH to position me at CGK. Last time it was hell to get out from T3 to T2 (to check-in with UL) as one need transit visa (stamp) and go through immigration twice.

A question to those already done this route - what AUH hotel to recommend for at least the outbound? Spending 20h in an airport isn't tempting, even if there were lounges open (haven't actually checked if there are). Premier Inn has a convenient location, and as has been reported, liberally allows late check-out at 18.00, which suites well for a 22.00 departure. Any other suggestions?

A suggestion for the Wiki would be to enter both positioning flights and hotel stays related. Any aspects on that?

I'm staying at the downtown Holiday Inn tonight - I'll let you know. Hopefully, I can leave my bag there during the day and see a bit of the city.
