AF/DL: Interesting Business Mixed Class Ticket
For 2 people was able to book business class one way SFO-CDG for the same price as coach on a roundtrip ticket (with the other leg economy). It only shows with 2 people (normal fare shows with 1 person). It's not as great as many of the others here, but it does work with just a week or two notice. SFO to PARFare Code - ZQ1N76D1 Code:

Do you have sample dates?

Yeah, sorry, tried to post an image but too new.
Two people - Sep 3th to Sep 14th. Seen it work on AF and DL websites. |
So, how much was it per pax?
|
$2700 mixed itinerary (coach alone round trip is also $2700). Not as cheap as other deals, but better than coach for last minute bookings ;-). Without 2 people, the normal price would be ~$6k for the same mixed itinerary.

Thanks. It would be great if you (or a mod) could change the title of the post to something like "AF/DL: SFO-CDG 2700 USD C/Y mixed-class RT, must book 2 pax", or something similar.

Don't think I can edit it. I think it works for more cities, but figured there are people here who can figure out the fare rules faster than me.

It's $2700 coach roundtrip if you want nonstop on a major airline ( UA and AF flies nonstop SFO-CDG)
air caraibes flies nonstop $653 coach, or $1k on aer lingus/BA with one stop OP's fare basis (ZQ1N76D1 $1853 base fare) is actually a business class fare. Op, you should go back and find a business class seat for the other leg The cheapest economy fare KK1J76M3 is actually more expensive ($2111 base fare rt), op might be doing a half rt basis ticketing too (af/dl loves fuel surcharge) Edi: yup, I can see UA/LH/AF/DL matching each other non stop if you buy two tickets If you want business both ways, it's (2k base fare + 1k YQ= 3k each) If you do business one way, coach back, it's $2k base fare + $700 yq= 2.7k each Economy both ways, 2.2k base fare + $500 yq = 2.7k |
Here, here to posting summary of fare in the thread title.
As for price, this is only cheap if you really have to fly AF. ITA finds lowest fare from $407 Y round trip non-stop next week (XL) and it's only $1,022 (also XL) if you fly tomorrow, so this is no free upgrade. Business both ways is from $3628 (DL) non-stop next week and only $2413 with one stop in KEF. |
I don't see this fare at all. Can someone give a Google Flights URL? Tried both af.com and Google Flights, just shows one-ways in excess of $8000.

could be another error fare. look out for sf posting it

able manually pick the mixed legs directly via Delta.com ($2.7k for mixed legs, $3k for business) as said before, need 2 passengers https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...e3929e9ac9.png https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ed5361dd30.png |
all 3 alliances have the same business fare ($1852) with same date restrictions, though you'll want the nonstops on AF/UA
eg: UA https://www.google.com/flights#flt=S...02*.USD.605802 AF https://www.google.com/flights#flt=S...02*.USD.605802 both in april next year https://www.google.com/flights#flt=S...;sc:b;sd:1;t:f |
This really is not a deal at all. This is just a very restrictive fare that requires a Sunday overnight, which is nearly impossible on many of the date pairings.
Also, I must say that the OP's descriptions of this fare are incredibly confusing. |
At first I thought this was talking about $3k for two, but it's $3k/pax. no deal :td:
