PR: TPE-YYZ RT J $1609 USD ai

https://www.philippineairlines.com/z...me/seatsale-tw

Sounds like a good deal to me if you simply want comfortable rides across the Pacific. AC is charging this fare for Y+ (yes with miles but PR credits to a few too).

Although it sounds like official sales, I'm only seeing them on vayama.com, sampled dates, Dec 2nd - Dec 22nd. Use the 3 day fare calendar to find them. Unlike sales from US/Canada which block dates after Dec 20th, travel dates are good until Dec 31st, 2018.

Keep in mind that PR has the following weekly frequencies to YYZ, Wed, Fri, Sat, and Sun. Outbound on Wedn seems to make it cheaper. The deal may also be available from other Asian cities, I don't have resource to check other dates and city pairs at the moment so check it out further if interested, including sales restrictions.

PS: At this point I'd only look at vayama.com as the only source, now kayak.com is telling me certain dates are gone while I can still retrieve them.

Yet still better than AC's 8 across nowhere-near-flat Y+ seats for the same price...

This fare is gone as we speak, the next lowest is from MU $2200.

This year the cheapest Asia - NA J fares seem to be out of TPE, last year it was MNL, CEB, and CRK.

p.s. PR officially extended sale until July 31st yet I'm not able to find such fares anywhere, if anyone finds a website that does please share.

This is back for even less now at $1411

https://www.kayak.com/flights/TPE-YYZ/2019-03-13-flexible-1day/2019-03-27-flexible-1day/business?sort=bestflight_a&fs=stops=~1

Sampled dates on vayama.com March 13 - 27, pretty sure this won't last long. Getting this fare is tricky, need to book at the moment you see it, I tried Vayama and revisited the sites, the fares are gone. Using Kayak works for their directed sites such as CheapOair or OneTravel.

Seeing that the return leg layover at MNL is a day long, the last leg could be made a throwaway; a perfect hidden city opportunity if you totally don't care about the miles.

Even with a Hidden City you usually should be able to get the miles for the first three segments... Seems like you can credit to ANA or Etihad (besides PR)...

This is still around and it's also on Orbitz. (4/30-7/24)

The latest departure date I can find is April 30th, however you can return by mid July, so I can't confirm maximum LOS.

At the moment it's still the same price. $1600 TPE-YYZ,

In addition, some may find the 1 way pricing useful (TPE-YYZ/JFK) at $1100/$1250 USD if you're based on North America and need last minute booking. In fact this is cheaper than Y+ and even some Y.

ie. Book YYZ-TPE Y+ $750 on EVA Air, TPE-YYZ J $1100 on PR.

p.s. If you're solo traveler please choose window seats on A350 then you're guaranteed those single seats since Value Business does not allow seat selection change. I had to cancel (within 24 hours) and re-book with window seat preference at Expedia.

IMO this *value fare never really went away, as it often hovered in and around $2200. But agree, $1600 is a steal for this flight.

Looks like you can fly a route with PR from TPE-SFO (stop in MNL), for $1,722 (USD). Seems like a great deal in and of itself ... but if you're trying to get to YYZ you're going to have an issue, I think because PR doesn't code share well with many airlines. If you don't need to go to Toronto, great. You've got a decent deal there ... but if you need to get to Toronto I don't think there are many options on this fare.

Alternatively, you could fly to YVR for $1,600 USD and book a cheapish ticket to SFO if Vancouver interests you.

I was able to see the following NA routes on this deal for under $2,000 USD in MAY:

TPE-YYZ
TPE-YVR
TPE-JFK
TPE-SFO
TPE-LAX

FYI Google Flights seems to be pricing these flights slightly higher than Kayak.com.

The sale is back on in Feb, while we know PR has it once a while it usually lasts a week. Fare is good between now (15th) and Feb 23rd.
