LX/WK: London/BUD/WAW - Punta Cana 1025/1100 euro biz

London to Punta Cana for 1025€ if you book via OTA with Swiss/Edelweiss 1 stop ZRH.
This fare has been around for a while from Germany, now it' also bookable from London (LHR and LCY). For the outbound flight you will have an overnight stay in Zurich.

VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 21AUG 18 AND ON/
BEFORE 31OCT 18.

TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/BEFORE 31OCT 18.

Nice fare! What is Edelweiss product like, though? Can it be compared to business in Swiss?

I think the seats are the same, only different color, but I'm not 100% sure.

I believe Edelweiss can be quite nice: they use it on the Zurich - New York route with SWISS (LX) flight numbers so it must be ok.

Concerning this fare, which is excellent and very tempting, it looks like the long sectors would be booked using the Edelwiess Air (WK) code. Does that mean no miles and sectors in the Miles & More FFP? The right rules about Edelweiss have eluded me, I am not very clear about them.

that's a very nice fare. Earns a lot of qualifying miles on UA MP

Why are your spreading misinformation without checking?

https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...weiss-air.html

Not quite as good as LX but earns 100% PQM / 100% RDM for P class (which i guess would be the fare class for these).

Also, it seems in general there is no need for an overnight at ZRH.

because i flew WK and i didn't get PQM
edit: however indeed according to their website it should earn 100% so maybe i should try claiming them.

Yes, you should submit a claim for the missing PQM.

Of course the other downside of WK vs LX is the missing bonus RDM for elites.

Just beware that the long hauls are on WK which generally has different earnings compared to LX.

Otherwise similar (actually even a bit lower) prices also available from LHR (there is already a thread on it) which might be more interesting for some here.
