Indian OTA payments
@ft543 - FYI indian banking rules require that there be two step authentication for ALL online transactions. Online transactions require a one time password that is sent to registered phone number or email from card issuer for that specific transaction. All Indian cards are automatically setup for that. Hence issues with foreign cards. My experience use Amex cards - they seem to go through. Visa/MC cards will encounter issues.
Also cleartrip.com, yatra.com, goibibo.com are alternates you can try

Currently trying to build a Multi City mixed class trip around this fare; Matrix pulls up decent enough fares and as the SQ website does not allow for such combinations, I had to call the Indian SQ hotline. However on the phone with the Indian SQ hotline they consistantly quoted them significantly higher (roughly 500-600 USD).
Does anyone have a suggestion for an (Indian) OTA oder brick-and-mortar TA that is able to book this as multi city with mixed classes?

If you try to do this via the phone, tell them very specifically the booking classes you're looking for. I did this during the first attempts on the hotlines, nevertheless I believe this is what made it possible in the second round.

Ultimately another attempt at the BLR SQ hotline solved it and they priced it exactly as the matrix suggested My Visa card also went trough without any issues.

EWR-SIN-AMD in C with 1,5 hours layover
Not looking forward to the flight from Delhi to Singapore, but it was the only sensible option in terms of pricing. Just changing this segment to PE would have cost something like 800 $ more...
Why not all legs in C? The cheapest available fare for business return was something like 4200 $ with ...... connections and flight times for my dates
Paid ~2320 $ for the routing above, according to the ticket it splits into 660 $ for the outbound part and 1660 $ for the return part.

You can't enter the airport if you flight leaves in 7 hours (check-in usually opens 3 hours before). There will be guards checking your e-ticket (make sure to print one out) and only lets you through if you are departing within 3 hours.

even if you’re arriving from Delhi? I arrive AMD 6 hours before my flight

I transferred in this terminal last week; arrived on Air India from Delhi. After disembarking, you walk into a hall where passengers are split up based on domestic or international arrival. There is no way to transfer to SQ without checking in at the SQ counter in the departures hall. And I actually had to walk outside the terminal building down a few doors before I could re-enter the building at the departures hall side. There was a guard who would not let anyone walk through the interior to go from the arrival to departure areas.

You're going to need a visa because there's no way to transfer at AMD from international to international, if that's what you're thinking. Your flight departing for India will probably ask to see an India visa, especially since that ticket terminates in India. You should budget at least 72 full hours for the India e-Visa online process to complete.

Not sure what you meant by
'What did we do about an Indian visa'
If you are going to use this fare or repositioning, make sure you have an indian visa in order NOT to be denied boarding for your flight to India
Whether you go through immigration at India or not is a separate story but my understanding is that even if you are connecting SQ-SQ, same day, you still need to go through immigration as AMD does not have a transfer desk
This airport is tiny, the lounge is pathetic, find something else to do perhaps at a nearby hotel
I travelled to AMD twice in this year just for this fare

I did a SIN-AMD-SIN turnaround recently without the boarding pass. I was surprised to see an SQ agent on the jet bridge holding a sign with my name on it when I arrived. I guess I was flagged by the system, even though the reservations were separate. The agent escorted me through all the steps: inbound passport control, airport exit and reentry, SQ check-in, outbound passport control, and security screening. I think personal escorts are AMD's version of priority lines for premium passengers (I've had one before when departing AMD), so this was an extension of that service.
The whole process took a little under an hour. I got to the departure gate just as business-class passengers were being called for boarding. It was the outbound passport control that took the longest -- questioning was vigorous, and a superior in a back office had to give the OK before I was let through.

I will make sure to get an eVisa based on the comments on this thread. Does anyone know if eVisa is valid for more than one entry? I will be returning to India 2 weeks later and staying a couple of days.
