If you stopover the legs should credit separately which is a good deal more miles

Correct. A direct flight (not nonstop) will accrue as A to C. A stopover will accrue as A-B + B-C.

How many hours?

You would need an onward connection boarding pass

1. Has any more folks taken this flight? How was it?

2. Did you do the immediate turnaround at AMD? What was your experience?

3. I see that this fare is applicable to SQ 1 / 2 which serves SFO-HKG-SIN. I know that SQ offers free, unlimited stopovers at SIN, but can one also stopover at HKG for free? If so, is it possible to do so for both outbound and inbound flights?

Thanks thanks for the tip. how did you overcome the issue from your credit card company about purchasing a ticket in Indian rupee?

Card issuer automatically converts the purchase to USD or whatever currency the card uses. Why would that be an issue?
