Personally, I would trade 5 hours and 40 minutes of scheduled flight time in Y for almost 18 hours in J. I fly cross country in the US in Y (roughly similar distance) a few times a month.

For a daytime flight, sure. On an overnight flight, I simply wouldn't do it.
So my answer is both legs in C or I am not flying either leg.

Yes, I have booked a 40 hour stopover in SIN. Had to do multi city search in premium economy and then choose the business price.
