LAX-PEK MU 1138$ rt in J
A surprising deal for this route. Can't remember the price go that low. Be aware of the route through NKG. MU A330 has angle flat seat while 777s are lie flat.
Best price at Kayak for 1138
Expedia for 1235
Also available on ceair China site (Not US site, unfortunately)
I-F class code, nice MR on DL almost 21500 MQM + 5700MQD if I calculated correctly. 46000 RDM as a Delta DM
8.28-10.3 departure, book by 6.30

My search pushed through to flight hub and it has a warning that states:
China Eastern Airlines is currently experiencing unexpected fluctuations in flight prices and overall availability. The price shown below may not be final until you attempt to book. In the event of a price change, your credit card will not be charged without your approval first.

This is still alive?!
I’m glad to see a separate thread on this deal. Probably should have been split off of the original CA to SHA thread last week.
I’m doing two of these rt’s in Sept to get my MQD’s for diamond status on Delta. Based on recent experience, I recommend the Beijing Conrad for those with Gold or better status in Hilton Honors. Comp’d buffet breakfast downstairs. About two long blocks from a subway station. Restaurants on the street around corner. Reasonably close to Sanlitun area.

I booked several LAX-PVG in September, with the last leg of each return as NKG-LAX on Tuesdays. Pulled up the seat maps on the OTA and all show the 33H configuration, which is 8 rows of reverse herringbone lie flat, instead of the standard 4 rows of angled flat. Hope it reflects reality on that route.
