Saudia business: MXP/FCO-CGK under 1000 Euros R/T
Is this a mistake fare or will Saudia honor it?
One way: Rome to Jakarta is showing as under 500 Euros one way almost EVERY day of the year.
Roundtrip is showing under 1000 Euros.

Booked one of these 1-2 months ago - great deal for a very decent product. Already worth it for me just for the miles and the XP to put me over the top to platinum with FB.
It's indeed an offer that comes and goes. You will also find often availability from MXP (with some interesting routings through MED instead of RUH or JED which is more customary). Just not sure how great that would be in the middle of Hajj season to the end of August...
And for the users which are surely to follow with posts complaining it's a dry airline: just booze up on Prosecco in the Alitalia lounge and sleep the rest of the way!

I have yet to fly it in a month from now. Unfortunately no mileage calculator for FB anymore on the website so I only know the XP it will earn (54 one way trip; FCO/MXP-Saudi Arabia = long 1 category so 24 XP, Saudi Arabia-CGK = long 2 so 30 XP). Would be curious for the miles as well!
If someone has experience transiting through all 3 Saudi airports (JED, RUH, and especially the under-reported MED) I'm curious to hear as well about it. What I gathered so far from trip reports and reviews is that RUH is more pleasant as far as Saudi airports (+ lounge) go, but that catering from JED on the other hand has a slight edge.

I flew Saudia last year when they had a deal IST-KUL-IST via JED for around £650 round trip.
Providing you can go without booze for a day I would highly recommend flying them. I definitely would again.
Modern fleet of aircraft with great Business Class seats (both the 787 and 330 I flew had the same seat types as the corresponding QR a/c), free wifi, generally nice crew.
The weak link in the product is JED airport........awful. Absolutely awful. However I believe they are moving to a new terminal there soon.

Here is a good thread with some recent reports of flying this deal for those interested.
Saudia is a hidden gem!
Unfortunately new terminal in JED is not expected to officially open until 1st January 2019 however "Experimental operation of the airport will start from May 1" Which means: "eight Saudi Arabian Airlines flights daily"
