B6 Mint: JFK/BOS - LAS/SEA/SAN/SFO ow from $399
Works both ways. Dates in June and July and slightly more over rest of calendar.

AA is cheaper the Sept dates I need
But, it's a 737 to SAN. The nonstops to SFO on AA are like $659 each while B6 is $499 in Sept. What to do?

For JFK->SAN/LAX, that's a huge rarity to me. I'd rather fly to SAN and drive to where I need to be in the OC for that price. I'd say I usually end up spending ~700-899 per leg depending on how far out I book.
