AC: YYJ/YVR to YUL/YYZ to Mexico US$940 rt

Air Canada has a business special (P) fare from western Canada to certain Mexican destinations (CUN/PVR/ZIH) for around US$940 (CA$1200). Connecting in Toronto or Montreal will maximize the mileage. The cross-Canada segment can be lie-flat, but the segment to Mexico will just be Premium Rouge. One stopover is free.

Example:
YYJ-YVR-YYZ-CUN-YUL-YVR-YYJ 11/04-11/12 -- $942

So If I'm calculating correctly, the P class fare should earn ~ 20K AQM & Aeroplan Miles correct?

You would earn about that much if you were crediting to United, where AC P-class fares are worth 200%. For Aeroplan, it's only 150%, I believe.

er
Yes but the Stop over program is for unknown hotels is only effective if you have a 6 hour stop over in YYZ, YVR or YUL.. I prefer to use day beds where available but in other cities as I do not think there are day beds available in any of these airports.

I did this route a couple months ago.
YUL, your choices are the Fairfield Inn and another property that I don't recall.
YYZ had 4 or 5 choices. One was the Sheraton at T3.

Good to see that a modified form of the old Mexican Hat Dance is back. In the old days, you could route YVR-YYZ/stop/-ORD-CAN-ORD-YYZ/overnight/-YVR.
