LA: SCL-JNB r/t in J for ~US$1,000

Y-up fare. Books in Z on the long haul segments between GRU and JNB. Searchable on GF but errors out when I tried to book. I used ITA and powertools to come up with the screenshot below.

The fare isn't bookable, I don't really see the point of posting it.

I wouldn't post it here if it's not bookable.

Do you have the fare basis and fare construction to see how this prices out?

OP seems to have posted a screen shot of an AA.com booking, at least that how I see the fonts/text etc. I've never gotten AA.com (via powertools or otherwise) to spit out something on the payment page that doesnt result in something that can ultimately be flown. I'd love to know the answer to Keter's question above, I could use to hit South Africa while down in Chile (just came from SCL last night).

I'm seeing it for even less than OP. Select LA prime flights (not codeshares on LA Brazil) for the SCL-GRU legs and it comes up as $980.

Excuse my ignorance...what is powertools? I don´t seem to find anything with that name related to tickets. I use google flights, ita matrix, and other search engines....as well as expertflyer.com...am I missing something? Thank you

Use the search tool above to search flyertalk for "powertools".

I'm not versed well enough in it to explain it, but all the info is here.
