Cx pe osl-hkg us$1027

SO, I needed to get back to BKK on my RTW trip this month and found that CX has a PE fare that doesn't show up on GF, $1027 RT OSL-LHR-HKG, usually midweek. Book on CX's website. GF shows SK for $1053 if you want to do *A. I only needed a one way so that was US$624, still a decent deal The OSL-LHR is on BA of course in coach (M fare.) and CX in E. So the math each way for AA EXP is:
EQM's: 9368; EQD's: 1274 (a respectable 2x and RDM's: 14014

In case you were wondering, my RTW, with an LAX side trip fron OSL, is as follows:
4/17 BKK-HKG TG coach US$128.55;
4/17 HKG-JFK CX PE (return segment of a Black Friday special PE RT) at $592 each way;
4/17 JFK-LHR-OSL AA coach immediately UPG'd JFK-LHR with SWU US$365, RT total after a ticket exchange, but will probably miss out on the return OSL-HEL-JFK as AY was the cheapest return;
4/18 OSL-LHR-LAX-LHR-OSL BA PE US$688;
4/24 OSL-LHR-HKG CX PE US$624;
4/25 HKG-BKK CX business class award from AA;
Total approx US$2398. 5 tickets with only one tight (2hr at JFK) connection. 3 days in LA and an overnight at LHR and OSL.
The math for AA EXP: EQM's: 42,795; EQD's: 5420 (2.26x as the AA/BA segments bring it down and RDM's: 59,592.
NOTE: CX PE one way OSL-LHR-HKG-BKK is US$823, but US$2148 RT. Go figure.

That's a nice-looking RTW, for sure. ^^

However, I could not re-create the OSL-HKG routing in July. Using CX's site, it comes to roughly 13K NOK, or about 1650 USD.

There are a few dates in July and August that are as low as NOK9558 (apx US$1220,) then the US$1027 fare shows again in September.

Yes seeing quite a bit of availability late August as well. Works for cities in mainland China for marginal cost too.

Yeah booked this to Vietnam in May. Great fare which gives more Qpoints and a better seat (Qatar doesn't have PE). Probably great for BA tier points too.
