I wonder how risky it would be to book two of these back to back, with an immediate turnaround in AMD. It's only 75 minutes between the inbound and outbound, but SQ does sell same-day returns SIN-AMD-SIN, so the connection is evidently possible.

Easily possible to do a direct turn if you have no checked baggage. AMD is my home airport and its practically tiny. Direct turn on the same day would be easy if you are fast, especially when travelling in J. No airside transfer, though. You will need to cross Passport control and go back in. So visa would be required for most people

AMD works fine with us. Unfortunately we travel out to ORD BOM Dec- Jan returning in Feb. Wonder if this will work in monsoon season to go to Kerala for 21 days?
