The clue is in the first post - the booking window is September - February so a return trip in March will not work

Well, that's not right because I'm able to book INV-ORD-INV outbound Oct 3rd, return Mar 11th in F for £1617. Which is a fantastic deal.

I was just wondering whether that fare would be available to another destination other than Chicago.

What was the total fare when you priced your preferred routing?

£3708.

It matters not. It's a cracking fare to Chicago so I'll go ahead and book that.

Make sure you're looking ex-LON. This is a LON-PDX fare, and NOT a INV-PDX fare.

I don't see the LON-PDX < $2700 USD first class fare. Can you provide an example? Thanks.

I was referring to the business class airfare for $2100 on sky team, didn't check the BA 1st class. But the ST fare was supposed to end on the 3rd as well. I bought it on the 3rd, it was gone for most of the 4th, the reappeared again.

LHR-PDX BA/AA J £1487 (via SEA, SFO, LAX, more)

Think this was about before, but died.

Wide open from May oneward, good prices. Rare direct out of London. Some good nearby connection options at SEA, SFO. Some not-so-good from ORD, PHX, DFW, etc.

Dig about long enough and there are A380/787 options there, otherwise it's 777/747. Routing can even be LHR-LAS-LAX-PDX to maximise on the TPs.

Some routes - SFO, SEA, even SJC - offering First upgrades for £200 each way, too.

Book direct on BA site.

LHR-LAS-LAX-PDX would earn 440 tier points only... doing LHR-JFK-LAX-PDX would earn 640 tier points for £1549:

UK regions also pricing @ 1500 so GLA - LHR - JFK - LAX - PDX r/t or open jaw to a different regional to save £50
