AA/BA: UK - North America (even HNL) rt US$1800 - US$2200 in J

I was looking for some positioning flights from the UK this Fall and found these fares that seem to apply to all of North America - even to Honolulu. It looks like it's for travel starting on October 30 through mid-January 2019 and you have to depart on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Some examples:
LHR-LAX $1996
LHR-SFO $2005
LHR-DEN $2028
LHR-HNL $2212
MAN-LAX $2042
EDI-LAX $2035
and (unsurprisingly) INV-LAX $1827

I clicked through to the BA website to confirm and got to the payment screen so it seems legit.

CAI-HNL is back as well for $1995

Some other cheap ones I found on or around the same dates, with some other airlines too by way of comparison to the OP's BA/AA fares:
INV-BOS $1,651 (BA)
OSL-BOS $1,290 (TP)
CAI-JFK $1,306 (TK)
CAI-MIA $1,437 (TK)
LHR-MIA $1,849 (BA/AA)

Sadly, can't work-in LAX or JFK stopover (I didn't look too hard).

This has been kicking around for a few weeks.

Starting journey in INV will bring price down around £1-150 per person, even returning back to LHR

I think stopovers can be at the first point of entry to the US so non-stop LHR-LAX?

notsosmart Mar 5, 2018 6:29 pm

Ahh, got two free stopovers worked in, one at JFK and one at LAX.

Now I hope it lasts long enough for my schedule to allow it. I'm suddenly employed and rather busy, which is a good thing, but makes spur-of-the-moment flying nearly impossible :D

Now when I find the CAI-HNL 4/29-10/17 on google flights and try to click through to BA it does not seem to work. The same thing for CAI-LAX and both worked earlier although the LAX price would say $1867 on GF and then be more like $2176 on BA. I would appreciate any insight. This is a fabulous forum. It's like trying to learn a whole new language. Much appreciated.

Anyone able to get all or close to all BA flight #'s on the CAI-HNL flights at that price, while having a stopover in the US?
