It's not great, but it's not terrible either. The beds are full flat and wide-ish. There's food. The lounge in DEL is passable. There's PJs and pretty decent amenity kits. The crew are responsive if not always friendly. They have champagne. For the price, and mileage accrual it's not a bad deal. I'd rank Air China better, and if Garuda has a similar fare they are streets ahead of AI.

I can't answer for all passports, but generally if you're staying within DEL most major Western passports are fine without any sort of transit visa... it's just airside through security.

It's not bad. But it's not the lowest (Air China was well under that), and there are often Qatar and other airline fares out of the Scandinavia in the region of £1200 or so. If you're happy with that price, take it. Air India is fine if all you need are the basics (eat, drink, sleep).
