Really think QR is hurting with most of the GCC embargo against them and closing of borders. This is more evidence of it, too bad as I would love to use them again for I like QR, but can't get there except from KWI/MCT which I'm not going to play around with as it doesn't make sense.

Enjoy the cheap fares to all.

The only downsides to opting for the HEL option is a) collecting 5,000 fewer Avios and b) having to fly J on the QR A320 (still preferably to Y+ in my book). The upside would've been: Spending roughly the same level of money but saving at least 25,000 Avios.
Granted you could fly in for a same day connection and therefore not need a hotel the night before or the expense that goes with that.

Personally I wouldn't risk that with somewhere as far as HEL for a flight on a separate itinerary

Soon the promo is dead. If it's going until midnight 01/16 at POS, then most European origins will be gone in about 15 minutes.

I really hope so - it's been dire so far and I'd booked loads of leave in anticipation of a repeat of the last couple of years!

That's pretty good, thanks

I believe they are adding Qsuites to that route, although I don't know if it's a long term swap.

Yep - QSuites are planned for the route.... odd that they're not sticking to their original list of cities, but a nice plus for sure for those of us living in DC!
