NH : JFK -> KUL - $2,881 USD in J AI

Happy new year!

Just thought I'd share a decent deal in J on a terrific 5* Air Line:

Should net 150% air miles and 200% PQM on UA per rules.

Nice find ^

Just a word of caution though - the NRT-KUL segments get the lousy cradle seats which aren't the best for a 7 hour flight. If one can route via HND that would mean lie-flat seats the entire way, but KUL-HND doesn't connect well with HND-JFK.

Another option for $2497 is to go via YYZ over the Atlantic with Saudi on 787 Lie Flats...

If we are throwing in options to this fantastic fare, JAL is also in the game with a similar fare (2900 USD).
Full flats all the way, with the new cabin layout on the NRT-KUL sector, albeit overnights in NRT and limited availability.

at least it is refundable for 500 USD, changeable for 400 USD, unlike the non-refundable ANA fare above!

PERMITTED MON THROUGH THU ON EACH TRANSPACIFIC SECTOR.
NO SEASONAL TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS APPLY.

MINIMUM STAY: TRAVEL FROM INBOUND TRANSPACIFIC SECTOR MUST COMMENCE NO EARLIER THAN THE FIRST SUN AFTER DEPARTURE OF THE OUTBOUND TRANSPACIFIC SECTOR.
MAXIMUM STAY: 3 MONTHS AFTER DEPARTURE FROM FARE ORIGIN.

2 TRANSFERS PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION IN YVR/CONTIGUOUS U.S.A./PUERTO RICO/US VIRGIN ISLANDS/MEXICO

Keep in mind that Saudia is a dry airline (i.e. no booze on board and you can't bring booze on flight and on ground in Jeddah). IDK about you but if I'm flying for that length of time I'd want a stiff drink or three.
Miggles and Tokyoite like this.

I'm seriously looking at this. If you book in Feb, you can take the JFK-HND-KUL flight that leaves JFK at 1655. But you will still have to deal with the overnight connection in HND on the return.
