Wow, that's indeed a pretty good deal even for folks in Buenos Aires.
Do you know of any deals departing EZE or AEP in Argentina to either the States or Europe in Business? Thanks for the post.

Jfk-asu $895

Besides new lower fares to EZE, here's another one AV just lowered recently from $1600ish, JFK-ASU $895, I do need to caveat that this would be feasible if and only if you're not going elsewhere, including Argentina and Brazil, as regional flights out of ASU are generally expensive.

AV: JFK - MVD in J for $1,087

Seems to be valid for first couple of months of 2018:

https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...JFK0AV670;sc=b

Milage earning is 12,160 per WebFlyer (so not a true milage run but terrific deal considering amount of flying involved). UA doesn't show bonus PQMs if it's in J, unsure if other milage programs are more generous.

As you pointed out, UA MP doesn't play well with non-JV partners in terms of bonus miles on biz fares (most importantly PQMs). On the AV flights that book into D (just a few dollars more), quite a few other programs credit at 125-150%, but the ones that book into K are mostly 100% with a few exceptions giving 125%. Interesting that for this fare to work it seems everything must connect via LIM. I could be mistaken but I thought AV also serviced MVD from BOG.

For those who use Mileage Plus, CM has a very similar fare that books into D. That's 100% RDM but 150% PQM.

I'm thinking about this one. I could use the TK miles to requalify for Elite Plus in the first year. Anybody interested in going for 3-5 days plus travel in February or maybe March?

AV is offering cheap business class fares on so many routes right now. They are starved for cash and they have serious labor problems. I personally have shied away from buying anything (such as LAX-BCN or SFO-BOG) because of concerns about cancels and very poor IRROPS handling.

Looks like it's even cheaper now (worth the necro-bump).

For as low as $898 from AV (although this is A fare, rather than D) and as low as $868 from CM. At over 16K miles (150%) for some *A FFPs, roughly 5.5 cpm. I'm seeing availability from the fall until end of 2018.

With AV you'll have at least lieflat seats on BOG-JFK.
