Fares as low as $1,420ish available for dates in the late spring/early summer (gearing up toward peak tourist season in Peru). Possible to route BWI-EWR-LIM both ways, with the EWR-LIM leg on 757s with lie-flat seats.

If you can fly from YYZ, the fare drops down to the $1150 range ($1450 CAD)

Looks to be wide open through early October next year.

Can route the trip via EWR,or IAH.

or by going to NYC and leave 1 day early, it drops to $1188

hint: It's only a good deal iff 1. You can only go there for Xmas, 2. You are not flexible to re-position and have to travel on Dec 20th, in fact, AV still has JFK-LIM J for $660 if you're willing to fly through Ecuador one-direction via Aerogal.

Now pricing out of NYC for even less - $862 on AV with a somewhat nasty return flight (IMHO).

Lots of availability through end of October :

I am pricing out JFK to LIM at 678. Those returns are rough though.

Apologies - looks like mine quoted out in Canadian Pesos instead of USD

Another option is to lean into the connection and spend a full day in Quito. Same price.
