An extra $US300 or so to Canberra will get you a bonus 30000 Qmiles if completed Feb to mid-May

It's easy enough to find one with 2-3 hour connection if you're flexible on dates - you need to connect to QR175 if flying back to OSL and QR167 if flying back to ARN.

Anyone able to find a BKK-HEL or similar instead of the well- priced HEL- BKK? I need to get back to the states from my previously booked golden ticket HAN-DFW return coming up in March!

Yes but it's not worth those miles IMO as you'll have to fly 777 instead of A350-380 to ADL and MEL which have waaaay better seat

Thanks for sharing though OP, appreciate the effort.
Love this place (most of the time), so always want to contribute, since I benefit from it equally. Cheers. in OZ now.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that.

To get the cheapest fares to MEL (£1300 ish) it appears that you need to return to ARN. I was looking to return mid March and it looks like all the weekday flights are 10hr stopover, with only Saturday and Sunday being about 2hrs (not ideal if you have to return to work on Monday).

So instead I had to dig a bit deeper into those well worn pockets and stump up £1440 for OSL - MEL return. Still a great deal

Leaving OSL and returning to ARN I got it down to 1240 GBP/1425 EUR in mid March - amazing!

You can also book the Thursday QR167 with a 2 hour layover (which I've done, although perhaps not in March). I prefer ARN as the BA flights are slightly cheaper than OSL (despite it being slightly further) and CE is materially better to ARN as you can take the 767 and it falls into the long catering band vs. OSL. Still sounds like you got a great deal though!

I was just about to book OSL-BNE / MEL-OSL, but after confirming the passenger details proceeding to the payment page, I got an error message saying "The selected fare is no longer available". The new price that came up was 2400€. Now I'm not able to find the cheap C-fares to any of the Australian cities from OSL or ARN. I guess the promo is dead, or are anyone else still able to find the cheap fares?
