This is a recurrent one, I booked one before at this price or less, you may be able to get the return to a European city for $100 more, try MAD/CPH/OSL/BEG.

On my dates, BEG and AMS work out for about $300 more. Not the others.

OJs also work well to some newer destinations in Asia and Indian Sub. Including MPM in the mix works too from MENA.

Everything I tried bumps it up at least $600.

I'm just day-dreaming about travels next fall already. To combine this with the TUN-SGN fare... make TUN your base and just fly around in C...

Too bad this fare doesn't work to CPT. But I guess that's not really a problem once you're in South Africa (I've never been, and even my daughter has! That's just not right).

The only issue now is the easiest way to get to Tunisia on the cheap from the UK as I can see that there are no OneWorld flights there

More exactly: QR is the only OneWorld airline flying to Tunis ;-)

Ha I can see Lufthansa for Ł300 ish which is decent in Y and there is cheap seats from AMS to DOH but seems a bit backwards doing GLA - LHR - AMS - LHR - DOH - TUN - DOH - JNB - DOH - TUN - DOH - AMS - LHR - GLA to save a few Ł100 lol

there is summer seasonal VY service from BCN with an IB codeshare from 23/6 to 8/9 on Wed and Sat.

TU flies direct from LHR
AF has service to TUN from BOD, CDG, ORY, LYS and TLS, all of which have plenty service from UK airports.

Yea, it's one of the twelve million or so companion fares that QR has out there. It's annoying.
