As someone living in CDG who occasionally re-positions for a good long haul deal., it is my experience that CDG has higher airfares than those places you mention. for those five cities you mention (plus one you didn't, BRU), I'd rank them as this for finding good long haul deals:
1) OSL
2) ARN
3) CPH
big gap
4) BRU
5) AMS
another gap, not quite as big
6) CDG
1) OSL
2) ARN
3) CPH
big gap
4) BRU
5) AMS
another gap, not quite as big
6) CDG
This is a QR thread, after all. Many good deals from ARN/CPH/OSL, sure. But if we take a medium-term perspective and look at the last year or so, I think Eastern Europe should top the list (SOF/PRG/SJJ/ZAG/SKP/etc.)

Let's just hope the tradition of the big annual Qatar Airways January sales will be continued in 2018., I would be very much interested in ex EU to CGK or DPS in March. The Black Friday sale was not very interesting.

Sorry if I am straying too far off-topic here, but does anyone remember the allowed flight dates for the January sale last year? I am trying to remember if flights needed to be completed by Spring, or if they could be booked for later in the year. Thanks.

In the last January sale I booked for July/August. Cannot remember if it was for the rest of the year but for sure up to September.

Looking at the Sake fare wiki there are departures as late as December. Given that it was part of the Januar sale, that should serve as guidance.

I stumbled onto OSL-DOH-SYD-CBR and back for ~14,500 NOK (about 1,500€/ 1,350£/ 1,800$). Too complicated to position at both ends but someone may find it useful.
Seems to be a companion deal (minimum 2 passenger. 3 works this time too).

Doesn't seem to be Black friday related. Neither the Norwegian QR site nor the Swedish QR site seem to advertise this. I haven't been able to get the same price for any of the other AUS/NZ destination of QR.
OSL-DOH-SYD-CBR//CBR-SYD-DOH-ARN is available for 13,972 NOK (1440€, 1718$, 1,288£).
Fare code is RJHQP7ZE
Minimum stay: 3 days
Maximum stay: 6 months
Travel restrictions: Travel commencing before 15 NOV 18. Travel must be completed by midnight on 15 NOV 18.
Sales restrictions: Tickets must be issued on/before 30 Nov 17

I don't know if this is a Black Friday deal or not, but just booked FRA - DOH - CMB return for $1785 (£1340) via Priceline.com. Found on ITA and there is wide availability in summer. MUC can be had for a little less. A330 & A350 both ways with just ~4 hours in Doha either way.
Google and Qatar.com price this at twice the price.
