Seems to be generally available most days. This is over $1000 cheaper than going to London. From MAN to London is about 2.5 hours by train (you change once at Manchester Piccadilly station). This is an upper class (J) fare.

Nice find! Assume the fare is for J class? Move to premium fares section?

Edit: looks like there is a 7-day stay requirement. There is also availability in the latter half of August 2018.

There's a fair amount of availability if you are willing to cross the bay and fly from Oakland: https://goo.gl/flights/2hmh
Not great routing, but quite cheap.

If you're intent on getting to London in this way, make sure you book the train tickets some weeks out: walk-up rail fares would add significantly to the journey cost.
