The best routing for DL in terms of MQM is AMS-MSP-LAX-SJO, which earns 26.8k MQM, although it costs more at £1582.
The most creative routing I've found at a cheaper rate that doesn't involve any travel on CRJ's without a first-class cabin is AMS-CDG-JFK-ATL-SJO-ATL-DSM (Des Moines!)-MSP-AMS, which earns 20,960 MQM at a price of £1385. No red-eyes or crazy connections before the MSP-AMS flight, either.
