Advice
as a newbie to the forum could anyone offer any advice about how to search for this fare using the google flight matrix? I have no idea what to type in order to get the correct options. I am looking to travel to Oz late Dec or January. Thanks

On ITA matrix search return ARN-BNE, 2 passengers, class business. I get the cheap QR flights via ADL/PER without further specifications but if you want to refine it then in "advanced routing codes" add QR QR QF on outbound and QF QR QR on return. The usual QR+ doesn't seem to work - I'm not sure why because normally the "+" seems to bring up non-codeshare legs.

Choose STO to BNE as route. Click "Advanced controls" and specify your route, for example DOH PER (and for the inbound PER DOH).

They won't be as cheap but you can use the Google flights desktop site to search BNE to 'Europe' for 2 pax and specify business class (and carrier if you want) for your preferred dates. Click on the Explore Map and it will show you the price for each destination. This never loads properly on my mobile device - much better on desktop
