That's one hell of a back-track! And in the various AB threads about the insolvency, it was stated that no-one from Central - let alone Eastern Europe or Turkey - would take BA on Asian routes!!! :D:D:D

Crazy to think that on the HKG - MNL flight of 2h20 block time you'd get a lie flat bed on a new A350 whereas on the ~4hr flight IST-LHR you'll be on economy better catering

I might be tempted to ditch the return leg of my IST weekend trip and start an Asian trip with a long London layover instead. Time to have a play with ITA!
