TK Denmark sale: Mumbai EUR 1060 // Zanzibar 1275 EUR // Buenos Aires EUR 1310
Turkish Airlines is running a Business Class sale in Denmark at the moment. A few decent prices to a number of interesting destinations.
Departure points BLL (Billund) and CPH (Copenhagen). Ticketing until September 20 2017 and travel until March 18 2018. Athens EUR 530 Mumbai EUR 1060 Zanzibar 1275 EUR Buenos Aires EUR 1310 Havana EUR 1335 and more. You can check here: https://p.turkishairlines.com/en-dk/...tival-business |
Hi,
thanks for info about such nice fares, particularly to EZE. Do you know, if it's possible to make stopover in GRU in any direction? |
Sorry, no idea about GRU stopover. I can see that it is a J class fare and the rules seem quite restrictive (ie. no cancellations), so I wouldn't be surprised if it is not allowed.
|
Unlimited free stopovers permitted on the pricing unit
2 in turkey at any other point |
He he:
Luqa DKK 3,905 Tocumen DKK 9,106 TK Marketing :) Luqa is Malta, Tocumen is Panama City (they used airport names and not city names) |

The change penalty isn't so bad. Less than $120.
|
To ZNZ is with a 737! from IST!

Has somebody managed to get dates for Buenos Aires at 1310? Lowest I can find is close to 2000.
Thanks, |

Thanks, It's a great fare, but seems there's no escaping a night layover both ways in Istanbul, which sort of kills it for me. |
Ticketed for New Years, but it was an interesting situation. Took some wrangling but it's ticketed. We'll see what happens next. $1550. (EUR 1304)
|
Earlier today I was able to find both destinations which I'm interested in (EZE, PTY) but now can't repeat it, although ITA Matrix still shows many dates.
|
Posted this in the other TK thread.
$1240 CPH-ORD rt https://www.google.com/flights/?f=0&...0-21;sc=b;a=TK I think thats a pretty smoking deal, especially for a decent business class product to the US |
It seems to have been an error fare since the lowest fares are twice as much, the fares shown on the link are probably OW only. In any case it's impossible to replicate

On TK's website just now, 11/22 CPH-IST-GRU-EZE return 11/30 $1550 in J (Business Promotion.) Doubt it's an error.
Code:

Of course it's not. TK is clearly advertising it on their website. You just have the find days where it's available.
|
Are all of the planes used for the hop to IST simply European style business class or are some proper business class too ?

Btw, since someone here mentioned the long layovers in IST: Worth noting that Turkish offers free transit hotel if the transit time is unavoidable due to the flight times. http://liveandletsfly.boardingarea.c...transit-hotel/ |
I've just realised that it's much more convenient to search for those promotional fares on old version of TK's website.
|
As per the initial advert on the page, the only departure points for this sale for BOM is from BLL.
However, TK doesn't price this on the website and most routings go through CPH, probably on an SK metal flight, codeshared with TK. Anyone able to price this out? I am looking in September, also with google flights, but nothing seen...

Availability of these promotional fares is pretty low it seems. But I just found CPH-EZE rt Nov22-Dec 11 for 9642 DKK. |
ITA Matrix shows phantom availability.
J is the lowest booking class and there is very little availability. My travel agent only found something with GRU-EZE on waitlist, and 1.5 days in IST on the return. The stopover in IST increases the price, so it's not really worth it for me. Anyone know a good other way to search for availability that ITA Matrix? With ExpertFlyer, you have to search for each segment seperately, right? |

Most premium cabins are 2x2 "armchair" style seats. Catering has slipped, but it's still at the top of the game. The downside is that IST can be a bit of a zoo and quite daunting for new users: though on the other hand there are creature comforts in the splendid lounge. If your connection time is over a certain length and satisfies some other conditions (it does so on both directions for CPH EZE), then you'll get a hotel. Free tours of Istanbul are another time-filing options. Look for more information in the Flyertalk TK forum. |

You have to use a tool like ExpertFlyer and have to search like Copenhagen-Buenos Aires (via Istanbul), rather than searching Copenhagen-Istanbul and Istanbul-Buenos Aires separately. |
If I search for CPH to EZE (via IST), will ExpertFlyer automatically find the segment through GRU?

Yes, that's why I asked...
|
Even the old website states that it cannot book for BOM!

Hi Flybranchen,
I am curious to know where you found the URL https://p.turkishairlines.com/en-dk/...tival-business. From TK airline website, I cannot find anywhere a link to this page and on google either. Is it something you received through TK newsletter? Many thanks sebastien

Thanks, |
I've just booked CPH-BOG (rt) for 1600 USD end Oct till end Nov, no overnight in IST necessary. Booked through Orbitz to have 24h to decide whether I'll keep it or not.
I noticed that availability on the Turkish website (even the old one) is not really accurate. On some dates this fare might be available on OTAs but not on Turkish's own site. |
Looks like all of the deals listed recently are J special out of Scandinavia, purchase by Sept 20th, complete first direction by March 2018 (forgot exact day).
I am also seeing HEL-PEK 1350 Eur, OSL-YYZ 1350 Eur |

Can someone give a newbie a tip on how to book the free stopover in GRU when travelling CPH-EZE?
The price soars when I try to use the multi-city function using dates that initially only cost 1300 EUR. Thanks |

the problem is that while it is theoretically possible within the fare, TK limits the availability on the stand alone GRU-EZE-GRU segments as they have 5th freedom rights and sell them locally. Thus I did not find a single day with J class availability on that segment.....
Thanks! |

CPH-BOG Oct 26 EZE-GRU Nov 17 GRU-IST Nov 20 IST-CPH Nov 21 Bookable on Orbitz for 1626 USD. I guess there are more. It's just quite time consuming to find them (and aggregators such as Momondo or Kayak are not showing this fare). |
