Very good deal! Crediting to Delta earns 19,800 RDM/MQM for round trip, plus more RDMs with medallion bonus.

Does it earn a medallion bonus on mqm as well?

NO. On DL, you earn RDMs based on MQDs times the multiplier for your status level. For partner flights crediting to DL, it can be distance based or spend based (and the rules can be complicated).

Premium cabin fares and high coach fares earn additional MQMs, 150% for Y, B, and most FC or business class fares. FULL F and FULL J/C earn 200% MQMs.

the bonus MQM is on the fare, not on the medallion.

Oh man great fare

Tempted but gotta have a Canadian visa to do it :( (Argentinean here)

It looks pretty easy and cheap $7CAD

Assuming you are a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. with valid Green Card.

Done PTY-POA in those, but I also paid $150 for a RT/error in biz... they aren't bad.. but wouldn't "pay" for them.

Wide availability of this fare, worked nicely into my schedule, so booked over Thanksgiving to visit family down there. Yes the 777 lie flats are not new, and layover in MEX is a little long, but a great fare that books into I class, so credits well to DL.

FYI when looking at Google Flights the calendar did not show great availability, but clicking on my dates anyway brought up the low fare. Bookable at Expedia or directly on Aeromexico.

Usually something similar ex-YVR but all I could find is US$1200 for YVR-LIM on US (flatbed IAH-LIM).

Really depends on the person. I am generally fine with most anything, and even liked the old Delta 160 degree seats, so maybe not a seat snob nor the best critic. Sure I prefer 1-1 UD on the 747, but I'm always happy just to be flying...

Considering that international-to-international connections at MEX require going through customs (like I-to-I connections at US airports), and the customs lines can be very long at certain times of day, the long layovers on this routing could actually be thought of as providing a certain amount of peace of mind.
