Wow, great find and fare.
Thanks for posting. ^

Wish they had it the other way around. I have two trips booked on the $1700 LAX-DOH-SIN and it translated to almost 5000 EQDs each.

Turns out this fare sale is significantly broader than OP knew. I think I need to start a separate thread on it...

QR CPT-LAX/IAH/ATL/MIA (via DOH) - ~$2K in J August thru next May!

Wow. QR is offering some jaw-droppingly good fares between CPT and a sizable chunk of their destinations in the US: all just over $2,000, and all available on a huge variety of dates between next week and next spring! Just to cite a few random examples:

https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...017-11-10;sc=b

https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...017-10-14;sc=b

https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...017-12-12;sc=b

Notably excluded from the list are any QR destinations in the Northeast (NYC/BOS/WAS/PHL), as well as DFW for reasons that escape me considering IAH is included. All of the above flights connect in DOH, as you probably guessed, but now that the laptop restrictions have been lifted, no problemo! :D

Finally, note that flights like these are some of the best around for racking up AA EQDs. As with other airlines, AA doesn't use actual fare prices in calculating EQDs, but rather a percentage of the total distance traveled. Considering a CPT-LAX trip would include roughly 25 hours in the air -- LAX-DOH is already one of the longest commercial airliner trips in the world at 16h15m -- this is pretty much a straight ticket straight to EXP land!

Nah, this is a mileage run forum, so I post based on optimal cpm.

Works for MIA too.

You can still get some pretty freakin' amazing CPMs regardless of destination! It's only a slightly shorter flight between DOH-MIA vs. DOH-LAX, given that they fly over Antarctica in the second example to get there.

:eek::eek: That would be 'pretty freakin' amazing'. Try the Arctic instead.

Any flights where QR offering accommodation on such fares. As most have 8hr+ transit times. Thanks

Here are the rules as to when Qatar offers accommodation. The rules seem clear enough til you get to this point:

Not all fares are eligible for this stopover service. Please contact your nearest Qatar Airways office to confirm whether this service is available for your journey.

However, a friend got a hotel room on a coach fare this summer. It's hard to believe this won't qualify.

For J, connection must be over 8 hours. However if another set of flights available would connect in under 8 hours then no accommodation. Since multiple CPT flights i doubt theres no under 8 hour available.

Good fare, but like almost all QR fares it's not unheard of.

With QR you just have to wait a month or two and they will repost it.
