SkyTeam (AF/KL): Cairo-Singapore
Google Flights is showing wide-open availability for Cairo-Singapore (as well as Hong Kong) in business-class on Air France and KLM for about $1,930 ($1,954 into Hong Kong) for the next couple of months.
You fly Cairo-Paris-Amsterdam-Singapore-Amsterdam-Paris-Cairo. Here's one of many sample dates: https://goo.gl/flights/r5Kt
To position into Cairo, I'm seeing economy-class on Sky Team for about $800, also on Google Flights, from the usual North America airports -- New York, Washington, Toronto, Chicago, etc.
So, for $2,700 and change this could be a fun mileage/status run. Cairo has pretty good prices to elsewhere, so perhaps you could make multiple mileage/status runs over a 7-10 period.

Well, CAI-SIN via CDG and AMS with Sky Team is 17,558 miles. For credit to Delta, that would equate to 150% MQMs.
You can fly CAI or CDG to PEK via FCO and LIN on Alitalia for $1900-ish, according to Google Flights, but that's only 12,000-ish miles at the most. However, Delta does give 150%-175% MQMs to Alitalia business-class airfares.

Sorry to the OP for being another negative Nancy, but that is, frankly, an expensive fare for AMS or CDG departure, let alone for Cairo.
Given the proposition that one should reposition from the US - in economy! - I think there are far better fares out there
