I booked DEL-KUL-SYD-PER-KUL-DEL through Propeller Travel a few weeks ago - total cost including their booking fee was £1208, although Perth-Kuala Lumpur is - in February at least - downgraded to a 737.
I was glad to see multi-city bookings are available again on MH, but in fact if you just look for a business class return to Sydney, you will find that the cheapest return option is via Perth, although obviously that doesn't allow any stopover in Perth.
