One point to note: QR apparently has two daily flights to DOH -- one around 9am and the other around 5pm -- and it doesn't look like there's much availability on the earlier one until Sept. 13 (I have no idea why). Since most longer flights out of DOH depart either late at night or early in the morning, there could be a lengthy (and potentially overnight) layover on the outbound portion; the flight you listed to HND is one, with a 14.5-hour layover and 7am departure to Tokyo.

If the Qsuites are the new thing for QR, why is the Al-safwa limited to just their A380 "first class."

First class also applies to their regional flights where business class is effectively designated for local marketing purposes as First. So Al-Safwa gets a lot of footfall from short haul 'business' passengers. Although with the current restrictions there are a lot less short-haul flights.

Darn all these new European routes on A320s! Presumably they have so many spare from the UAE blockage they can send them anywhere they think they can sell seats?

Pretty interesting - in the HND link from OP is stated, that outbound flight A320 is lie-flat, however on the inbound only standard recliner.. :(

Check for HEL-HND, it's still wide open (except October). Or if you want a 787 instead of the A320 from HEL, check NCE-HND (very few dates though)
