a couple of these are popping back up, though only on Air China.
e.g. YVR-BKK and YVR-SIN available for 2850CAD/2300USD. CAD getting stronger makes it a bit less attractive, but still good.
BKK can be had on all-lie flats, SIN I believe has angled flats but I didn't look too much into it.

$2002 for YVR-SIN and 1 stop at Haneda. Both have perfect overnight connections for quick visits to Tokyo and it's perfect you get Haneda and not Narita. All 787s on ANA.
