Malindo Air : HKG - KUL $242 RT

- Malindo is certainly more like Premium Economy but reviews are good

- great price for the 4 hour flight, Cathay wants $2,804 RT!

- no miles

Have you Read Rules in this Fourm? It Said No Mile, No Post! Anyways is a great deal!

What do you mean "No miles - no post." I am a Malindo Air Frequent Flyer with a Malindo Air Mileage Account. This airline certainly does allow accrual of miles.

In my opinion, Malindo Air Regional business class on their beautiful 737-800 aircraft is a much better product than Malaysia Airlines regional 737 business class with their worn out seats. Premium economy it is not. If look at just the seats, Malindo Air Business class is comparable to most (except Intra-European) narrow body business class seats. Full 2-2 configuration in plush leather with full IFE. The flight attendants are great but their food is just average.

Word has it that Malindo Air will change its name to Batik Air soon and align itself more with Lion Air group. This will mean even greater mileage earning and redemption opportunities for Malindo Air frequent flyer members.

The period mentioned is just before Chinese New Year and that might explain the cheaper prices.

while I know that they had their own FFP, there is skepticism in me about their own program (earning, redeeming, status, etc). would be interested to know more of their program.

Anyway, great deals OP!

Thanks OP, nice find. Have to fly this route in Feb, but my dates aren't fixed yet. Hope this sticks around for a while...

Although to be fair there's very little to no information on their FFP details. Tiers? Award redemption chart? Zilch

ashkale Jun 20, 2017 9:26 am

All Promo fares earn 0. The full fare business fares are flexible and earn 1status credit. 15 credits earn next tier, total three tiers, silver, gold and platinum. RDMs are distance based and redemptions are zone based. All in its one of the worst FFP programs ever.

Lets say enrich inspired ffp.
